Background	The DSIPI protein has homology to porcine DIP (DSIP-immunoreactive peptide). The DSIPI protein contains a highly conserved leucine zipper region and belongs to the TSC-22/DIP/BUN family of transcriptional regulators. DSIPI is postulated to also function as a transcriptional regulator.
