Background	ERK p42/44 kinase detects native ERK p42/44 kinase by immunoprecipitation in rat and human (HeLa) cells. ERK p42/44 kinase is induced by mitogenic stimuli such as growth factors which function by stimulating the phosphorylation and activation of ERK p42/44 kinase resulting in new gene expression.
