Background	Prepro-ANF (26-55) is one of four peptide hormones derived from the atrial natriuretic prohormone. It is also known as long acting natriuretic peptide and it has potent vasodilatory properties. Prepro-ANF (26-55) is present in higher concentration in individuals with congestive heart failure and causes the increase in prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels of the three peptides. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Prepro-Atrial Natriuretic Factor (26-55) coupled to a carrier protein.
