Background	Bovine Adrenal Medulla Dodecapeptide (BAM-12P) is a 12-amino acid peptide corresponding to the precursor proenkephalin-A. It is an endogenous opioid peptide originally isolated from bovine adrenal medulla, which mimics the effects of opiate drugs, that are pain perception and stress response by exhibiting κ-opioid receptor selectivity. The BAM-12P was described as precursor for Bovine adrenomedullary Met-Enkephalin. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with BAM-12P coupled to a carrier protein.
