Background	(Tyr-36)-pTH-related protein (1-36) is a recombinant form of a mature N-terminal secretory peptide derived from the pTH-related protein though posttranslational processing with myorelaxant and parathyroid hormone-like calciotropic activities. Its sequence differs significantly from that of pTH (1-34), although both proteins share the same N-terminal end important for the calciotropic activity. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with (Tyr-36)-pTH-related protein (1-36) coupled to a carrier protein.
