Summary	This gene produces a long non-coding RNA that may regulate cell proliferation. This RNA is upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma, where it is thought to function as an oncogene. However, some splice variants of this gene may function as a tumor suppressor in neuroblastoma and other tumor types. Circular RNA variants were observed at this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2017]

To properly assess knockdown, the gene expression level from the included scramble control vector must be used in comparison with the target-specific shRNA transfected samples. For non-conforming shRNA, requests for replacement product must be made within ninety (90) days from the date of delivery of the shRNA kit.
