Summary	Component of innate and adaptive immunity that recognizes and binds 23S rRNA from bacteria. TLRs (Toll-like receptors) control host immune response against pathogens through recognition of molecular patterns specific to microorganisms. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Specifically binds the 5'-CGGAAAGACC-3' sequence on bacterial 23S rRNA, a sequence also bound by MLS group antibiotics (including erythromycin). To properly assess knockdown, the gene expression level from the included scramble control vector must be used in comparison with the target-specific shRNA transfected samples. For non-conforming shRNA, requests for replacement product must be made within ninety (90) days from the date of delivery of the shRNA kit.
